Heart of England Music invites schools to free livestreamed Kosmos performance
Schools in Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire are being invited to join a free livestreamed performance by acclaimed ensemble Kosmos on Wednesday 20 May, presented by Heart of England Music Hub in collaboration with Leamington Music.
Streaming live to schools via YouTube from 2.00pm to 2.30pm, the event offers pupils the chance to experience Kosmos’ distinctive cross-cultural sound without leaving the classroom.
Known for drawing on musical traditions from across the world, Kosmos combines influences from North Africa, the Middle East, Jewish, Balkan and Gypsy music, Argentine tango, flamenco, Celtic and jazz traditions, alongside contemporary classical music. The ensemble brings these elements together with Western classical training, creating performances shaped by improvisation, creativity and their own original arrangements and compositions.
Schools wishing to take part are asked to register in advance using the link below. A livestream link will then be sent ahead of the performance.
