Tamsin Little to give guest masterclass at Yehudi Menuhin Summer School
The Yehudi Menuhin School’s 2026 summer programme will welcome young musicians from the UK and overseas for two residential courses on its Surrey campus.
Following the success of its inaugural year, the Yehudi Menuhin Summer School returns in 2026 with two courses: 20–25 July and 27 July–1 August. Applications are open to international students, with a deadline of 22 May.
Course two, running from 27 July–1 August, offers tuition for violin, viola, cello, double bass, classical guitar, piano and composition. The programme will include a guest masterclass with violinist and Yehudi Menuhin School alumna Tamsin Little CBE, alongside a new optional conducting course led by Matthew Taylor.
Led by Yehudi Menuhin School music staff, the courses will include instrumental lessons, chamber music, orchestra, choir, concerts, academic music seminars, wellbeing and exam preparation workshops, and an introduction to conducting.
Participants will study and perform alongside other young musicians while experiencing life at the school, based on its campus in leafy Surrey. Facilities include a purpose-built 300-seat concert hall, teaching studios, a tennis court and indoor swimming pool.
